Graduate School

Overview

Throughout the history of our distinguished academic institution, we have been dedicated to excellence and innovation. Several key milestones have occurred throughout our path, shaping our educational landscape.

On June 12, 1961, we took a huge step ahead by launching the one-year Master of Arts in Criminology program. This milestone marked the start of our dedication to excellence and innovation in criminological research.

Recognizing the changing environment of criminological research, our program saw a significant expansion on July 21, 1972. We extended our program to two years to increase the depth and breadth of knowledge taught to our students.

PCCR’s most distinguished program, launched on April 20, 1993, is a PhD in criminology, which has contributed to our long-term research and education legacy. Subsequently, we received global recognition by attaining ISO 9001: To demonstrate our commitment, we stood for this cause after receiving the certification on April 15th, 2015. To remain relevant to employment market requirements in the criminal justice profession, we expanded our academic offerings by launching the PhD program on June 1, 2022, followed by an overall curriculum change.

We created a tradition of strong academic success, ability to adapt to new theories and ideas in criminology, as well as an emphasis that puts the future of criminology education first. Throughout our institution forward-oriented attitude and seeking for novel solutions will be driving force that will guarantee us new goals for learning in the coming years.
